MEET kENDRA miRANDA
IN THE JOURNEY WITH YOU
I am a California-registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC). I bring a deeply grounded, warm, and refreshingly real presence to the therapeutic space. I believe therapy doesn't have to be sterile or overly clinical; it should be a safe, honest partnership where you can show up exactly as you are and work through life's challenges together.
I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from William Jessup University and specialize in supporting individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, relationship distress, family enmeshment, and life transitions. Drawing from trusted, relational modalities—including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the Gottman Method—I walk alongside you with profound empathy and deep understanding to help you untangle old patterns, heal old wounds, and find your footing.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
IN THE ROOM
As a proud Hispanic woman raised in the Central Valley, community, culture, and deep relational connection are at the heart of who I am. Outside of the therapy room, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband, exploring the outdoors on a hike, or holding a warm cup of matcha. I am on a mission to visit at least 30 National Parks by 2029, and am slowly making my way there. I'm also a devoted dog mom to our border collie lab mix, Paxton, who keeps us laughing and constantly on our toes. I graduated with my Master's in Counseling Psychology from William Jessup University, and believe in being a lifelong learner! it is truly such an honor to be able to journey alongside people through their hardest moments and biggest breakthroughs.
MY APPROACH
-
Get curious about the patterns.
We’ll explore how your experiences have shaped the ways you think, feel, and respond. Understanding those connections can help you recognize what still serves you and where you’d like more choice.
-
Move at a pace that fits.
Some things take time to put into words. We’ll make room for that, checking in along the way so you have a say in what we focus on and when you’re ready to go deeper.
-
Bring it into everyday life.
Together, we’ll find practical ways to use what you’re learning, whether that means setting a boundary, responding differently to anxiety, or having a conversation you’ve been putting off.
My work is shaped by my clinical training, ongoing learning, and the people I’ve had the privilege of supporting. I bring that experience into our sessions while staying curious about what makes your situation yours.
Experience that informs our work.
